30 seconds. 400k views. Here's the setup.

Last week I was about to script a new reel.

But had no idea what to make.

So instead of scrolling through my niche for "inspiration" for an hour, I asked Claude to look through my competitors and pull their top performing content this month.

In 30 seconds I had hundreds of viral ideas, fully transcribed, with hooks, view counts, and a breakdown of why each one worked.

I scripted my reel in 10 minutes. It got 400k views.

Here's the exact setup.

Go to Apify, create a free account, and grab your API key. Then copy the Instagram Reel Scraper actor link. These two things are what let Claude talk to Instagram.

Open Claude desktop app. Go into Connectors, find the Apify one, and paste in your API key. Done. Claude now has access to Instagram data.

Now here are my top 3 ways I use this connection to save time and grow my socials faster.

Ask Claude to use Apify and run your @username for the last 50 or so videos with transcripts turned on.

You'll get back a massive CSV with all your content. Every video script, every view count, likes, comments, all of it in one file.

That is golden context. From here Claude actually knows your content, your voice, and what performs. Any advice it gives you, any script it writes, it's based on your real data, not generic tips.

Give Claude a list of competitor accounts in your niche. Tell it to check their pages weekly and only send you the outliers.

Each week it sends you a list of just the viral videos. Their hooks, view counts, and full video scripts. No noise, just the stuff that broke out.

You'll always have a steady stream of ideas without ever having to scroll.

Say you want to make a video around a certain topic, brand, or product. Save your favorite reference videos and feed them to Claude. It pulls all the data and scripts from those videos.

And if you already did step 1, this is where it gets crazy. Claude compares those reference videos to what's already working best on your page. Then it writes you scripts that take the best parts from the viral content you shared and makes them sound like you.
